2019 wrapped up another wonderful year of being a San Antonio family photographer specializing in newborns, children, families, babies, maternity, and bluebonnet minis. Including the brand new studio!

I spent the fall with dozens of sweet families hoping to capture that perfect Holiday card or just update family portraits. Many of these families have been with me for several years and it is such an honor to watch their children grow. We progress from gentle shushing sounds for a sleepy newborn, to peek-a-boo, silly noises, LOTS of fart jokes, and then “just smile for mom, even if your braces show!” 🙂

Sweet clients/friends, Thank you for trusting me with your portraits over the years. I love my job and I love knowing your children will have photographs to look back on and cherish for generations. (gentle reminder- PRINT THEM!)

Welcome! If you are looking for Newborn Photos in the San Antonio area, you are in the right place. Chelsea Lietz Photography has over 12 years of experience with newborns. My professional studio has thousands of props for your use and makes safety, cleanliness and comfort a priority.

I am experienced with multiples, special needs, siblings, and even less-than-enthused fathers. 😉 Brothers, sisters, and parents are welcome to be included in your newborn photography session. Sometimes even dogs make an appearance.

When you plan a portrait session with Chelsea Lietz Photography you get a prep guide for easy and stress-free guidance. I also provide a style survey so you can request colors, themes, props, poses, and more.

I offer baby registries and gift certificates. I can think of no better gift for an expecting mother than priceless portraits to treasure for a lifetime.

I’d be honored to capture this precious moment for your family. Babies are only little for a little while. Most newborn sessions take place in the first two weeks of life. But if you missed this window, don’t worry… please still ask about a baby session.

San Antonio Newborn Photography Studio

All is well in the new San Antonio newborn photography studio and I’ve been snuggling babies, wrangling siblings, and making exhausted parents look rested and blissful. 🙂 I’ve also been busy with Back to School Photos, first birthday photos, family portraits, pet portraits, and bath splash sessions. Babies are my specialty, but I love to continue serving “my” families as their children grow!

As always, I recommend booking newborn sessions during your second trimester if you can. And don’t forget about maternity, baby, cake smash, milestone, family, Christmas, and fall photos! Details on fall and Holiday mini sessions are coming soon.

Bluebonnet Portrait Sessions 2019 | Chelsea Lietz Photography

Nothing says spring in Texas like fields of bluebonnets… and adorable children taking photos in them. It’s a Texas tradition, ya’ll.

I am pleased to announce San Antonio area bluebonnet portrait sessions for 2019 from Chelsea Lietz Photography.

The sessions take place on my private property between San Antonio and Bulverde, just a short distance from New Braunfels, Stone Oak, Spring Branch, Blanco, and Boerne.

What you need to know:

These dates are my best estimates on peak blooms. I reserve the right to adjust dates as needed for blooms and weather.

Time slots subject to change 5-15 minutes at photographer’s notice to account for ideal light and weather.

15 minute sessions with an online proof gallery in 12 days or less. 3 digital downloads of your choice, with more digitals, prints, & canvases available

Everyone on the property must sign a liability waiver.

I will have a few props available, including my Texas bucket, a Texas flag canvas tent, some vintage wooden boxes and blankets.

There are horses in the pasture. By request, I can keep them far away. By request, I can attempt to have them close or in the background… but this is not guaranteed in any way. Don’t count on the horses, but they could possibly be a bonus if desired.

You will need to climb through or over our fence to get in the pasture.

There is always the chance of manure and cacti, so I recommend smart footwear.

Sessions are nonrefundable, but you may sell your spot or get a studio credit if you give at least 14 hours notice.

Bluebonnets, Unicorns and Cowboys, Oh My! | San Antonio Photographer

Happy 2019!  Chelsea Lietz Photography is looking forward to amazing things this year.  I have some fun themed mini sessions planned and I will be moving into a new studio!  The new space will only be about 5 minutes from the current location.  It will have more space, some new features, and will still have pretty land for outdoor shoots. I’m incredibly excited.

I now have a facebook VIP group!  This is open to anyone and will be the first place I post about mini sessions and special events.  I won’t post often and annoy you, but this is the best way to make sure you see what I share!  Join Here.

If I photographed you in 2018, I am so very thankful that you trusted me to capture your precious memories.

I am still first and foremost a newborn photographer.  That hasn’t changed and I recommend reaching out to me in your second trimester to make sure I have availability for you.

However in 2019, I am trying to offer something fun for everyone! Below is a sneak preview of my plans for the year.  These will be themed mini sessions. (not for newborns)  Details, pricing, dates, and sample photos will be shared when they are opened for booking. These are always subject to change and there could be possible additions if I get inspired!

Pride & Joy- sessions meant for grandparents (or similar loved ones) and all of their grandchildren together. studio or outdoor (late January- February)

Rodeo- cowboy and cowgirl sessions in studio, just in time for rodeo season (late January- early February)

Wedding Dress- little girls in mom’s dress. The sweetest! (February)

Bluebonnet- a pasture-full of blooms for children and/or families (late March)

Unicorn- a few more unicorn sessions with the white pony and then these magical sessions will be discontinued (spring) Carousel- gorgeous pastel carousel horse, use of my gowns, frocks, floral headbands, and crowns. outdoor and studio (spring)

MOVING DAY! A new studio with more space, only 6 minutes away from current location (April-ish)

Summer Splash- baby bath splash sessions and possibly underwater pool sessions! (summer)

Fishing- fishing themed sessions by the water (summer)

Back to School– vintage school days (August)

Fall Family- outdoor family sessions (late October- late November)

Christmas– studio Christmas sessions (late November- very early December)
