San Antonio Child Photographer | Chelsea Lietz Photography | Girlhood

Being a newborn and child photographer is the job of my dreams. True story.  But staying inspired is crucial to avoiding burnout.  This spring I decided to style a shoot *just for me,* and I chose something I am inspired by in my own life… girlhood!

Since I am blessed with three young daughters, my life is full of pink, sparkles, frilly dresses, twirling, giggles, accessories, and playing dress up.  All things girly and innocent and sweet and fancy!

I styled my models (just regular four and five year old gals willing to come play in front of the camera) in gorgeous dresses from Dollcake Oh So Girly and Tutu Du Monde.  The floral halos are from Honeydrop Designs (formerly So Cuddly Creations) and Created by Carli.

These girls were so much fun!  I wish I’d taken some video of the shoot so that you could hear their sweet giggles!  When one started, it spread like wildflower… even to me.  Girls are such an adventure.

These sessions were shot with my Canon 5d Mark iii and Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS II. I process my images in Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop.

These dresses and accessories are available in my studio and are available for use in my Princess Sessions for young girls in the San Antonio area. San Antonio Baby Photographer | Twin First Year Portraits | Chelsea Lietz Photography

I just spent a year photographing sweet twin girls as newborns, at 6 months old, and for their first birthday portraits.  Being a San Antonio baby photographer is the best!  I loved watching Agnes and Ingeborg grow.  They are both so beautiful in their own, very different way. They have fun parents from different cultures and their family is the perfect combination of all of them.  Dad brought in this Union Jack flag bench and we used it at all 3 sessions along with these tiebacks from Strawberry Girl Couture.  We also did grow with me shots with my vintage boxes.

The girls changed so much in a year! I love photographing twins.  But I also love watching them grow.  The cute birthday board holds all the precious info parents want to remember about their babies at one year of age. They chose to skip a cake smash, but boy did the girls love playing with balloons! Happy birthday Agnes & Iggy.

San Antonio Baby Photographer | Twins | Chelsea Lietz Photography

Being a San Antonio baby photographer is the best job in the world!  I love working with newborns, especially twins.  I photograph 20-30 sets of twins a year from newborns to one year olds.  When photographing newborn twins in my studio, I always use an assistant for an extra set of hands and for safety.  I have hundreds (maybe thousands!) of props available for twins and higher order multiples.  I love to capture the sweet connection between multiples, but I also photograph each baby separately for individual images.  I have also photographed three sets of triplets and would love to work with quadruplets… so bring me your babies!  😉

Twin Newborn Portraits * San Antonio Newborn Photographer * Twin Baby Photos by Chelsea Lietz Photography

Sweet Bryce and Wyatt came to the studio for their twin newborn session.. they are identical twin boys.  I got a lot of great photos of them, so it was hard to choose a few to share… so I chose a lot!   We did a fun twin maternity before and after series from Mama’s belly session that we recreated at the newborn session.

In this first shot, mom brought in the bottom blanket because it was a special handmade gift given to the boys and their nursery was decorated around it.  I had so much fun tying in those colors and creating some photos that would look great in their room on canvas.

I know I’ve said it before, but I seriously love multiples!
