I had the pleasure of photographing baby Evan at 14 days old. He was a dream to work with and I got to try some really fun props and set-ups. I have a slight prop addiction… my stash is taking over the studio. But I like options!

Boyd is the second son of a former Texas Longhorn football player… so you know I loved this shoot! He snuggled with Dad’s UT helmet and jersey… and even rocked a Bevo hat and teeny tiny Longhorn football jersey. As a Texas Ex myself, I was in burnt orange newborn heaven!
To make a good thing even better, Boyd brought his 16 month old brother, Emerson. These two handsome boys were entertaining for sure! Check out their sibling shots… the expressions crack me up.
Speaking of expressions… Boyd even flashed 3 or 4 sweet smiles for me.
It’s official, I have baby fever!
Again.
But… we newborn photographers get it almost every day. Ah well, hazards of the job.

When I photograph newborn baby boys in studio, their set ups and props are usually fairly simple. We use some neutrals and blues and greens and maybe a few hats. But sometimes the parents ask for a special theme that may match the nursery, their hobbies, their careers, etc. I love designing a themed shoot!
I just photographed a baby boy in a tonka truck because his dad owns a construction company. I often get firefighter dads bringing in their gear for their newborn portraits, and I adore those shots. I have a lot of newborn props in the studio to match your tastes… including Ranger baseball, Dallas Cowboys football, Longhorn & Aggie football, most sports, hunting, fishing, and so much more. I even have characters like Oscar the Grouch, monkeys, and the very popular Winnie the Pooh. But I have to say the most requested thing for newborn boys in my area of Texas are cowboys and country boys. 🙂

This tells me a little about you and your family and how you envision your baby’s first pictures. I want to know if you like bold or muted, sporty or classic, princess chic or organic neutrals. I have hundred of props, but knowing something about you before the session helps me prepare and create a personal experience for you. Firemen, ballerinas, military, doctors, book worms, sports fanatics… I get them all! And I love styling a session to your tastes.
