Ron and Jessica Steele have experienced grief and loss no parent should have to face.

In 2012 their beautiful nine-year-old daughter Alexis gained her angel wings after a long and hard fought battle with Leukemia.

Alexis was their miracle baby who was loved and adored by many. Through their grief, they championed a cause in honor of their daughter (along with Alexis’ grandparents Marilyn & Larry Rocamontes) called Alexis Angel Ministries. AAM provides emotional, physical, and specific financial support for patients and their families dealing with childhood cancer.

Though nothing could ever fill the void left by the loss of their daughter, Ron & Jessica longed to have another child. They explored every option available, but health issues, financial challenges, and arduous adoption processes left them with little hope.

This summer, a completely random chance encounter brought a wonderful adoption opportunity into their lives that has given them a renewed sense of purpose and joy.

The Steeles have welcomed twin baby boys into their family.  We believe their big sister Alexis sent them from heaven, and so we honored her beautiful memory in our newborn session.  Alexis is symbolized as a heart for the love she inspires still, as an angel for Alexis Angel Ministries, and with her beloved stuffed bunny rabbit.
