Baby Girl Newborn Portraits * New Braunfels Baby Photographer

Sweet Dani Laurel was a perfect angel for her newborn session.  And she even brought along a photogenic, well-behaved, super proud big sister!

This first shot of Dani on a felt ball rugs is one of my favorite photos to date, I just love the color and her perfect lips.  I got some great sibling shots of Dani with her big sister, Ashton… check out those expressions! These girls are going to have so much fun growing up together.

Mama requested a mermaid shot and Dad is a musician and brought in his guitar for Miss Dani to model on.  I love to customize personal portraits that are special to the family.

Know what else I love?  Baby smiles!  Dani flashed me a few big ones!

Breastfeeding Portraits * Capturing the Mother-Baby Bond While Nursing

Happy World Breastfeeding Week!

I am a proud nursing Mama myself and always support the mothers that come in and out of my studio on a daily basis.  Support is so important.  Knowledge is important.  Normalizing breastfeeding in public is important.  Our babies are important.

Did you know that you can request some nursing photos at your portrait session with me?  I am always happy to get a few shots of that precious bond that is rarely photographed. (And if you bottle feed, that is still a sweet moment and I am happy to photograph it!)

In the Spring I am planning breastfeeding mini sessions in the wild flowers… I can’t wait to share something so beautiful and natural.  So keep your eye out for those session announcements!

Magin Grandkids * Chelsea Lietz Photography

I grew up with the Magin family and was extremely honored when I was asked to photograph their grandchildren.  They have been blessed 5 times over.

We had a blast with a picnic, some cane pole fishing (not shown), and some stylized shots at the ranch and studio.  Photographing four wiggly children is not easy, nor are infants that cannot yet sit up on their own.. but this was a welcome challenge!  Photoshop is my friend.

Baylor’s Birth Story * San Antonio Birth Photographer

When the Wyatt family prepared to bring their third baby boy into the world, I was so honored to be a part of his birthday.  Capturing these once in a (brand new) lifetime moments are such a treat and always fill my heart. Birth photography is truly something special.

Sweet Baylor arrived in peace with a calm mama who only pushed twice, a Daddy who provided steadfast support and comic relief, and a more than competent staff. He was soon surrounded by his proud and curious big brothers.

Congratulations Wyatt family and thank you for letting me photograph your very own miracle.

Henry’s Newborn Portraits * New Braunfels Newborn Photographer

Sweet Henry Dean is the grandson of my God Parents… so I claim him as my God Nephew.  🙂

He lives in Dallas, so I didn’t get to meet him until he was a month old… a bit out of the “normal” newborn portraiture range.  It can still be done, of course, but it requires a bit of extra patience.  At a month old, babies usually don’t sleep as deeply and  won’t stay as curled as they were in the womb… making posing more difficult and the time span they will remain asleep while being posed much shorter.

But Henry and I came to an understanding and he allowed a few sweet poses. Big brother, however, didn’t want a thing to do with me, my camera, or his little brother.  🙂

I was on location for this session, which I no longer offer because of ALL the gear and props I need access to in my studio. I was also using natural light, which I haven’t done in months but quite enjoyed.

This was a welcome challenge, for sure.
