San Antonio Newborn Portraits | Chelsea Lietz Photography | Personalized Baby Hats

When clients come to me for newborn portraits, I love when they want a personal touch!  Sometimes this means we include cultural or heirloom items into their photo session.  Sometimes we style a session to coordinate with their baby’s nursery or their home.

One great way to add a personal touch to your newborn photos is to bring along a custom hat personalized with your child’s name.  You can also use a nickname or even a favorite sports team.  I highly recommend Knots for custom hats that fit newborns well.  You can find her on facebook or etsy, just click on the links I’ve provided.  You can even get larger sizes for milestone sessions!

I am happy to include your personal touches in your session.  If you have something in mind, please email me well in advance and I can recommend some of my favorite vendors for newborn items.  Some materials photograph better than others, some sellers do not size for a true newborn, and some sellers just have an overall better quality that I have come to trust.  I am happy to share suggestions with you!  And if you are crafty, feel free to make your own… that adds an extra personal touch because you will always remember creating it as baby kicked and squirmed in your tummy.  🙂   Thank you for choosing Chelsea Lietz Photography for your San Antonio newborn portraits.

San Antonio Baby Photographer | Twin First Year Portraits | Chelsea Lietz Photography

I just spent a year photographing sweet twin girls as newborns, at 6 months old, and for their first birthday portraits.  Being a San Antonio baby photographer is the best!  I loved watching Agnes and Ingeborg grow.  They are both so beautiful in their own, very different way. They have fun parents from different cultures and their family is the perfect combination of all of them.  Dad brought in this Union Jack flag bench and we used it at all 3 sessions along with these tiebacks from Strawberry Girl Couture.  We also did grow with me shots with my vintage boxes.

The girls changed so much in a year! I love photographing twins.  But I also love watching them grow.  The cute birthday board holds all the precious info parents want to remember about their babies at one year of age. They chose to skip a cake smash, but boy did the girls love playing with balloons! Happy birthday Agnes & Iggy.

San Antonio Baby Photographer | Twins | Chelsea Lietz Photography

Being a San Antonio baby photographer is the best job in the world!  I love working with newborns, especially twins.  I photograph 20-30 sets of twins a year from newborns to one year olds.  When photographing newborn twins in my studio, I always use an assistant for an extra set of hands and for safety.  I have hundreds (maybe thousands!) of props available for twins and higher order multiples.  I love to capture the sweet connection between multiples, but I also photograph each baby separately for individual images.  I have also photographed three sets of triplets and would love to work with quadruplets… so bring me your babies!  😉

San Antonio Baby Photographer | Twin Girls

Sweet baby girls Agnes and Ingeborg had so much fun at their newborn session that they came back to see me at six months old.  I ADORE 6 months… they are sitting and happy and showing personality.

We recreated a few of their newborn portraits to show growth… I promise I did not shrink the basket!  I can’t wait to see how much they change again at one year old.

We also got girly with the twins and styled their sessions with some pearls, vintage dresses, pink, a Dollcake Oh So Girly frock, flowers, vintage quilts, and some of the same headbands they wore as newborns.  We used the British flag prop to represent Dad’s heritage and their dresses had Nordic characters from mom’s culture.  🙂
