San Antonio Newborn Portraits | Lyla | Adopted Baby

I love my job.  And adore photographing every sweet child that enters my San Antonio area studio.  But sometimes I get the pleasure of working with an extra special baby, and Lyla is one of them.

Her parents are dear friends of mine and have always dreamed of a family.  Lyla’s adoption has made their dreams come true and it is a match made in heaven.

Lyla Grace was over 9 pounds of pure perfection and was SUCH a good sleeper for me!  We captured her newness with delicate details, lace, feminine pink, and sweet accessories like this first headband by Bitty Beads. (another Texas small business!)  We got some Christmas shots in a beautiful gold prop by My New Love.  And for Daddy we got a few images in natural tones that included camo and grandpa’s cowboy hat.  But my favorites by far are the images of Lyla and her forever family.  I get chills thinking about how much love will be showered upon this baby girl every day of her life, forever and ever, Amen.  🙂

San Antonio Newborn Photographer | Baby Boy Chapel

Chapel came to my San Antonio area studio for his newborn portraits from Fredericksburg, Texas.  His parents requested rustic, natural, country and hunting images. Dad is a taxidermist and avid hunter…so of course we had to get some shots in camo with Daddy’s antlers and an ammo box.   🙂   Chapel is the sweetest baby and flashed me several big smiles.  Congratulations H family, it was a pleasure photographing your beautiful son.

 

I get a lot of questions about my rustic stick stool, isn’t it an awesome prop?!  It comes from The Prop Barn.

San Antonio Newborn Photographer | Luca

 

Handsome baby boy Luca came to my San Antonio area photography studio for his newborn portraits before he was even two weeks old.  He was an absolute dream to work with… so cute and so sleepy!  His parents chose my Belly to Baby Package, which includes maternity photos and newborn photos.  By request I did a before and after shot of Mommy’s baby bump with Luca’s name blocks… can you believe how amazing Mama looks?!?!  So gorgeous.

Luca posed as one of San Antonio’s newest Spurs fans, but the rest of session was styled to be natural, earthy, and soft.  I think it suited him perfectly.

Congratulations R family, he is perfect.  And it is beautifully obvious just how much you love your son.

Stone Oak Newborn Photographer | Zakariya

Sweet Zakariya came to my San Antonio area photography studio for his newborn portraits at 12 days old.  He was handsome and snuggly and blessed with the most gorgeous Mama!  Zakariya’s Daddy is a Longhorn alumnus (as am I!), so we had to do some burnt orange and Bevo pride shots.  Hook ’em Horns!  Zakariya is also one of San Antonio’s newest Spurs fans.

It was an honor working with this beautiful family, even Grandma snuggled in for a shot with her handsome grandson. Thank you, Mushtaq family, for trusting me to capture your son’s precious newborn photos.

San Antonio Newborn Photographer | Vivian Kate

World, meet darling Vivian Kate!  This beautiful baby girl came to see me for newborn portraits at eleven days old. Vivian belongs to my awesome pastor at Hope Arise Methodist Church in San Antonio.  She has a stunning and kind-hearted mama and the two sweetest big brothers you ever did see!  Reese and Rowan simply dote on her and wanted to hold her and help me with her throughout the whole session.  I confess, their sibling portraits were my favorite part of the day!

Vivian was the first baby girl in the family so we had to style the session a touch feminine.  And against my better judgement, I even took an Aggie shot in maroon for her Daddy.  🙂  Mama loved the photo of Viv with her head in her hands and a vintage cloche hat.  And even though she slept like a dream, Vivian was also happy to flash me a few sweet baby smiles.

I. love. my. job.

And I adore this family!

Vivian’s mama utilized my baby registry for expecting moms.  Family and friends were able to contribute to her newborn session and toward beautiful products like fine art canvas, professional prints, lay flat albums and brag books.
