San Antonio Baby Photographer | Twin First Year Portraits | Chelsea Lietz Photography

I just spent a year photographing sweet twin girls as newborns, at 6 months old, and for their first birthday portraits.  Being a San Antonio baby photographer is the best!  I loved watching Agnes and Ingeborg grow.  They are both so beautiful in their own, very different way. They have fun parents from different cultures and their family is the perfect combination of all of them.  Dad brought in this Union Jack flag bench and we used it at all 3 sessions along with these tiebacks from Strawberry Girl Couture.  We also did grow with me shots with my vintage boxes.

The girls changed so much in a year! I love photographing twins.  But I also love watching them grow.  The cute birthday board holds all the precious info parents want to remember about their babies at one year of age. They chose to skip a cake smash, but boy did the girls love playing with balloons! Happy birthday Agnes & Iggy.

San Antonio Birthday Cake Smash Photos | Chelsea Lietz Photography | Alice in Wonderland

Ariya’s first birthday and cake smash photos were an Alice in Wonderland theme!  We had so much fun with the bright and colorful set.  Ariya’s mama brought this adorable outfit from etsy and some cute props she’d collected and I added them to my own to style this fun session.  Tea cups, mad hatter, bright colors, polkadots, crazy clocks, flowers and more!

The cake said “Eat Me” and so she did!  Ariya made a huge mess of her cake in the cutest way possible…. I adore when they stick their face right into the cake!  I would certainly call her cake smash a smashing success!

San Antonio Baby Photographer | First Birthday Portraits | Ariya

The stunning Ariya returned to my San Antonio area photography studio for her first birthday portraits.  Her Mama requested a bunch of newborn recreation shots, and I had so much fun with that! We used some of the same poses, props, and backdrops to show how much she has grown in a year.   She was stunning as a newborn in her tiara from Enchanted Shimmer, so recreating that shot was a must.  She is a valentine baby, so we included some of those sweet set ups and props.

Ariya’s daddy loves the Las Angeles Lakers… and being a San Antonio Spurs fan myself… I grudgingly recreated her basketball image.  🙂

Ariya was the cutest little model with the most infectious smiles.  And if you think these were cute… wait until you see her cake smash session… coming soon!

San Antonio Birthday Cake Smash Photos | Chelsea Lietz Photography | Super Hero

Dapper little Andrew came to see me for his first birthday portraits and a super hero themed cake smash.  We was so sweet and had the best expressions.  I adore a baby in suspenders!  And when it came time to eat his cake, Andrew proved that being a super hero creates a super appetite!  He stuck his face right in, finger-painted with icing, banged the cake like a drum, smeared it all over, and even flipped the cake off the stand with a super hero flourish!  Sweet super hero cape set by Woodfrock.

I have several cake smash themes and props already in the studio for your use.  But if you have a specific theme in mind, just ask!  If you want to use your images for birthday party invitations or decorations, make sure you plan your session well in advance!  I recommend cakes by Inphinity Designs (Stone Oak area), Debbie’s Custom Creations (San Antonio), Fields o’Flour (Seguin), or Sweet Bites by Lizzie (New Braunfels).  I can’t wait to help you and your babe celebrate a first birthday with photos to cherish for a lifetime.

San Antonio Baby Photography | Kolbie’s 6 Month Session

It feels like Kolbie was just in my San Antonio area studio for her newborn portraits, but here she is back for her six month photos to show off her sitting up skills!  She is the sweetest baby and so happy.  We had a lot of fun recreating some of her newborn shots for her “grow with me” series.  The teddy bear hat is my favorite!  She looks downright fancy in pearls and a Dollcake Oh So Girly dress, too!
