Hi! I’m Chelsea and I am “Mama” to three beautiful girls and wife to a handsome cowboy. I feel incredibly blessed and even though I get peed on almost daily, I have the absolute privilege of loving my job.
I also love peanuts in my Dr. Pepper, reading, travel, live music, and pizza. I live a simple life on a ranch with my family, yet I have traveled the world and been sky diving three times. Life is so beautiful and adventure is everywhere!
Photography was always a fun hobby, but working in the darkroom in high school really sparked my interest. Photography was my minor in college and has since become my passion. I started my business in 2007, then went full time and began specializing in newborns in 2011.
Newborn photography makes me happy. My husband claims I just play with babies all day. And he isn’t wrong! But the job takes a tremendous amount of patience and a soothing touch. There are many hours of waiting for babies to eat or sleep, straightening clutched fingers, cleaning poopy blankets, editing out jaundice, designing beautiful albums, and constantly soaking in more knowledge and training.
Building on my high school and college courses, I continue to study the art of photography. I invest in workshops and seminars that help me better myself and better serve my clients. I am active in the Professional Photographers of America and the International Association of Newborn Photographers. I have been featured on the ‘Best Newborn Photographers’ website multiple times and was tickled pink to have photos published in various magazines.
Because I am so blessed, I feel called to give back all that I can. I often donate my time to worthy organizations such as my church, The Ronald McDonald House, and local adoption agencies. I also volunteer with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep by providing bereavement photography, The Tiny Sparrow Foundation which provides photography sessions to children with life threatening illnesses, and with Operation: Love ReUnited which supports our military and their families during times of deployment.
